Whatever is at the center of our life will be the source of our securiy, guidance, wisdom, and power.These four factors--security, guidance, wisdam, and power--are interdependent.Security and clear guidance bring true wisdom, and wisdam becomse the spark or catalyst to release and direct power. When these four factors are present together, harmonized and enlivened by each other, they create the great force of a noble personality, a balanced character, a beautifully integrated individual.
Identifying Roles and Goals
Roles and goals give structure and organized direction to your personal mission. If you don't yet have a personal mission statement, it's a good place to begin. Just identifying the various areas of your life and the two or therr important results you feel you should accomplish in each area to move ahead gives you an overall perspective of your life and a sense of direcction.

In addition to self-awareness, imagination , and conscience, it is the fourth human endowment--independent will -- that really makes effective selfmanagement possible.
The degree to which we have developed our independent will in our everyday lives is measured by our personal integrity. Integrity is, fundamentally, the value we place on ourseleves, It's our ability to make and keep commitments to ourseleves, to "walk our talk." It's honor with self, a fundamental part of the Character Ethic, the essence of proactive growth.

Trust is the highest form of human motivation. It brings our the very best in people. But it takes time and patience, and it doesn't preclude the necessity to train and develop people so that their competency can rise to the level of that trust.
